Churches Grow During Typhoon Season
Exec Ptrs 0808

God continues to bless the various church plants in spite of the onset of Rainy Season. Metro Manila has suffered much flooding and heavy rains, that seem to come on the weekends!

But our churches continue to take steps forward with strong discipleship and maintaining our small group network in the homes of our people. We have a combined Small group network of 165 groups meeting all over the city! We are expecting that number to grow to 200 over the next six months as we focus on our Small Group Evangelistic Parties that will take place in September. We continue to train small group leaders to lead the new groups through our leadership continuum strategy.

Each church is currently being led by a strong Filipino pastor (see picture). Their commitment to serve and lead their church effectively has resulted in God's blessings! Over the past 10 weeks we have had 2 major typhoons, in addition to the regular monsoon rains. People are getting saved and being added to the various churches. We have had 114 saved in the past 10 weeks. Find below the churches attendance averages since June 1, 2008.

Rizal Project Update
Building Shot

Gymatorium Dedication

Recently, we dedicated the Gymatorium in our capital development effort called The Rizal Project. We are grateful for the many partners who have given to the Rizal Project! The structural, interior, finishing of the first three floors is complete. God has been good to provide these funds through your generosity and the sacrifice of our people. Special guests at the dedication service included Public School Officials, Bro. Herb Rawlings, Rev. John Hackworth, and Rev. Herb Hayes.

Our Evangelistic Student Center, which operates across from the Rizal High School, the largest in Southeast Asia, is growing! We continue to impact hundreds of students on a weekly basis through our ministries. With the new basketball, karate, and other sports options, we are poised to make even further inroads to the Rizal High School network as well as the 20 colleges and institutes that surround our ministry center.

Community Baptist Church Pasig, which meets in the facility continues to grow as well. With the 600 seat gymatorium now open, we can grow for years to come. Already in multiple worship services, we are averaging over 1,250 on a weekend. Pastor Jereh Rufin is doing a tremendous job leading this local church. The church fully supports its ministry team and facilities. God is good!

Thank you for all your help! There are a few minor projects to complete. We are praying for funds to install the elevator for the four floors. This will cost approximately $50,000. Additionally, we are praying for the funds to complete the interior of the 4th floor proposed Medical and Dental Clinic. This clinic, in cooperation with Medical Relief International, will provide an on-going base of outreach to many Metro Manila locations.

Rizal Project Ministry Reach:

Community Baptist Church - 1,250 attendance <=> Accelerated Christian School - 100 students <=> Baptist Bible College Asia, Pasig Campus - 100 students <=> Youth JAM Evangelistic Student Center, Pasig location - 400 students registered <=> Toughguys International Martial Arts Ministry, Pasig - 80 young people involved

Donor Provides Motorcycles For Pastors
Motorcycle Pastors

Due to the economy, many of our pastors commute throughout the city. Recently, God moved on the heart of a gentleman who donated five motorcycles for our pastors to use. With this new ministry tool, our pastors have better mobility, can do more ministry, save much needed money, and even take their wife out for dinner! We are grateful for God's provision. As I met with the pastors who would receive the blessing, their eyes watered. One pastor said, "I've been praying for a mortocycle and today God has shown me again, that He hears my prayers!"

You, too, could help strengthen a ministry. For $900 you can provide a Honda motorcycle for a pastor!

We need three more motorcycles to make our pastors more effective! If God would lead you to help, please send funds to:
