THE UKRAINE REPORT for AUGUST - SEPTEMBER 2010
Dear Pastor Burress and friends at Victory Baptist Church,
After visiting some churches, we took and finished an intensive two-month Russian Language course on July 30, 2010. It was a challenge to say the least. Nancy and I both passed. This will really help in our Ukraine ministry.
On August 1, we formally started our furlough and have been in several great missions conferences. Now we are reporting what God has done in Ukraine.
- We now have 25 pastors who are taking our classes.
- We now have classes in seven Ukraine cites - three main regions.
- Our goal of 100 total students was surpassed - we have had over 500.
We sent Tanya K, our translator, to the Philippines to work with missionaries Dennis and Gloria Ebert for four months. She is studying English, the Bible, and theology there. It was quite a change from Ukraine to the tropics.
In September our fall 2010 classes start up in Ukraine. With a lot of planning and help, we are able to keep all our scheduled courses going while we are on furlough.
Please pray for:
- all our helpers in Ukraine to do well
- all the Bible college students and teachers
- traveling mercies and health for us during the days ahead

THE UKRAINE REPORT
MAY - JUNE 2010
Dear Pastor Burress and friends at Victory Baptist Church,
Here it is almost summer, and it seems like we were just celebrating Christmas not long ago. We have three Bible college classes in process now: one in western Ukraine on Biblical Counseling, one in eastern Ukraine on Cross-Cultural Ministries, and one in our city on OT Survey, all taught by American professors.
We wish we were able to attend each of them .Soon we will be in the USA to attend more Russian language school and visit some churches. We are looking forward to seeing many of you. Nancy is busy trying to pack for all of the classes, school, and furlough at the same time.
The Lord has been blessing the Bible college; here couple of testimonies.
Sergey Konovalenko - 2010 I thank Ron and his wife Nancy for their ministry and for this seminar which we had in our church. You do so much for us! You teach us truth and we find out a lot of new things about God, the Bible and doctrines. Thank you for a book which I could get on this seminar. I'd been looking for it for several months. Thank you for everything. May God bless you and your mission! If you have some more Christian Literature bring it and I will use it.
Alexandra Miroshnikova - 2010 I want to thank Ron and Nancy and also Taniusha for their labor. I believe the Lord will render you for your time and strength and patience. This class was a big blessing for me.... I found out lots of new things about our God: his attributes, Holiness, and also, how His wonderful Word came to us through copying manuscripts and I don’t stop wondering how omnipotent and beautiful our Lord is. I will pray for you that you will be able to tell about Him to many people and they will be able to get the same blessing as I did. With love in Christ, Alexandra M. (the best student of the class :)

News from Ron and Nancy
MINTON NEWSLETTER - JANUARY 2010
Happy New Year from Ukraine!
Dear Pastor Burress and friends at Victory Baptist Church,
As the end of 2009 reminds us, nothing is permanent except what we do for our Lord Jesus. We wanted to share a few things that have been happening lately.
Three months ago our previous translator, who had been with us for over a year, moved to England to attend Bible college. We knew she was going and we prayed for a new one. She translated for Ron one Sunday night, stayed for a fellowship, then left for the airport. During the fellowship time we met another girl who spoke English. Ron asked her to email him if she was ever interested in doing some translating for him. Tanya is now our full-time translator and ministry partner. She has a real heart for ministry and we believe God sent her to us.
Our schedule has been quite busy for the last couple of months. Since September, we have had classes on Discipleship, Islam, Romans, Soteriology, Dispensations, Hermeneutics, and Genesis. Coming up early in 2010 are Bibliology, Biblical Counseling, and Apologetics.We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with American missionaries in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, and were also able to do a little sightseeing and enjoy a few days of “down time.”Ron’s been able to preach numerous times recently on the Incarnation of Christ, the modern faith healing movement, and other areas. Pray that God will use the messages from His Word.
On a personal note, our two sons are doing well, and our grandsons are ten, six, and five.
Thankfully the Lord gives good health. Pray for the Ron and Nancy Minton team in Ukraine.

The Ukraine Report: August - September 2008
Dear Pastor Burress and friends at Victory Baptist Church,
Here it is the end of summer so we realize we must tell you about a few happenings. Three days each week, Nancy and I have a Russian language tutor come to the house and teach us. It is a challenge to say the least, but is rewarding also. Ron has been able to preach in some new churches (through a translator) and interest in attending our Bible College keeps growing.
Here are a few prayer / praise items:
- for improvement in Nancy's eye after her surgery
- for the record number of classes we are scheduling for the 2008/2009 school year
- for strength to keep up with the progress of the work here, especially the traveling
- this past 4th of July was our 36th anniversary
- for the tracts we give out and leave on the train (we are on the train almost daily)
Recently, we had missionary Tim Downs come from Africa to teach a missions course for us. This was exciting because some students said they are willing to be missionaries if God chooses. Below is another student testimony. Mostly in the past newsletters we heard from men. This is from one of our new young lady students. She loves Jesus Christ. Her name is Luba Babak, and here is her photo.
"I like very much studying Cultural Anthropology (missions), especially I liked teachers because they were very interesting for me. This course helped me to look at the world with new eyes. Many words which Timothy told were I believe from his heart, especially example from the life of Africa. Also one more miracle which God made in the life of Timothy in Africa. Most of all, I liked the organization, exams, and tests which Ron Minton and Timothy prepared. It was a big difference from my studying in the university. This is like real teaching and it helped me to think and relate to my situation in life."
